Scott and Steve are joined by Dion from the Scrolls podcast to discuss Old Man's War by John Scalzi. Everyone who took part both on the show and on the Good Reads forum liked the book so it's a positive episode all round! They discuss both the plot and some of the philosophical questions that it raises. Our next book club selection will be The Stars by Destination by Alfred Bester. We'll be talking about it on October 29th so be sure to let us know what you think either via Twitter or Good Reads. |

This is Bags of Action. This monthly podcast is devoted to action movies, both old and new. A rotating group of hosts will talk about an action movie and then give it a score. It's as simple as that. This episode we talk about Haywire from 2011, starring former MMA fighter and former American Gladiator, Gina Carano. Next month we will be talking about the classic Bruce Lee movie, Enter the Dragon. If you would like to get in touch you can join in the discussion of all things related to action movies over on the Facebook Group or you can follow Bags of Action on Twitter @Bagsofaction. You can also email us at bagsofaction [at] gmail [dot] com. |
