Welcome to the penultimate episode of Comic Book Outsiders. In this episode we kick off with a quick reminder of our current book club selection. We're talking about the Once and Future King on the 4th August, so if you've read it, you can send us in your feedback before then and we'll include it in the show. Email, come onto the Good Reads Forum or message on Twitter. We'll also announce in that episode the next book club selection. As part of our News section we start with what will be coming after CBO closes its doors. Scott and Steve detail their new podcast projects and when they will be starting. We then get down into some comic book news, talk about live events and why they seem to be on the rise and we talk about the new Batman and forthcoming Superman movies from DC comics. For our main feature we try to do the impossible and choose a favourite writer from CBO, in comics, movies, TV and books. This is not a writer of all time, but those who've been active in the period we've been doing the show and a bit beyond. It proves to be an interesting discussion as ever. |

Remember our current Book Club selection is 'The Once and Future King' and that we're quickly approaching our finale episode 150 live extravaganza! This is a recording of the Hypergirl and Hero 9 to 5 panel from the Bristol Comic Convention back in May 2012. Scott was asked to take part at the last moment - but had a great time interviewing Harry Markos and the creative team behind these two great graphic novels. |
