Before Scott and Steve get into any news and reviews there is a quick reminder about the current book club selection which is Eastern Standard Tribe by Cory Doctorow, which is available to download for free from the author's website, or it's available as a free audio book. The deadline is September 20th, so there is still plenty of time to get involved, send us your feedback on the book and also send in you ideas for future book club selections. Contact details are available at the end of the show. For our main feature we discuss a weekly column that Steve has been running on his book review blog. He asked a number leading fantasy authors how they got into comics and what they are currently reading. We discuss their path into comics but Scott and Steve also reveal their own journey and how they became comic book fans. |

Scott and Steve claim that they don't have a lot of news this week but then proceed to spend 30 minutes discussing some of the latest goings on in the world of geek. Then we're joined in our main feature by Pete Rogers of Orangutan Comics for our B movie Behemoths spectacular. We discuss some of the great, and maybe not so great movies in the careers of some of our favourite B movie heroes. Apologies for some minor audio issues caused by Skype (amongst other things). |

This episode we're back to normal and we kick off with a lot of news and reviews, some of it coming out of the biggest show of the year, San Diego Comic Con. We talk about a new web series featuring an old favourite, some comic book movie news and highlight some of the winners of this years Eisners. We also talk some new casting in next season's Chuck, our thoughts on Supernatural season 6, and Dexters Season 4 finally gets an air date in the UK on FX UK. For our main we have the return of an old feature - it's time for Challenge Scott. Steve pitches 3 comic books he has recently read to Scott and tries to get him interested enough to pick up at least one of them. The three comics are: The Scorpion vol 1 - from Cinebooks
