In the last episode of 2010 Scott and Steve battle through the snow and ice to bring you some of the latest comics and TV news, as well as some hints about the future Batman movie. They discuss MMORPGs and a new TV show coming next year that looks incredible. After that it's our second part of Dexter discussion. We get into series 3 and 4, Scott drops some vague clues about season 5, and we discuss what might happen next as Dexter was recently picked up for a sixth year. |

We start with the usual news and reviews which is a combination of the sad, the great and the slightly bizarre. After that Scott and Steve revisit a show that they discussed right back in episode 1, Dexter. Well into it's fifth season in the US, and season four just having finished in the UK this is a great point to take a retrospective look at some of the highs of one of the strongest shows on TV. Remember our current book club selection is Masked which we will be talking about in mid-January 2011. Plenty of time to get your comments in! |

Lou Anders is the Editorial Director of Pyr Books, but he also edited the Masked anthology for the Gallery imprint of Simon and Schuster, which is our current book club selection. In this special episode we spoke to Lou about his love of comics, how he got involved in publishing and how the Masked anthology came together. The deadline for Masked is the middle of January so there is still plenty of time to pick up a copy and then send us your feedback and thoughts. |

First published in 1954 and directly influencing four movies (The Last Man on Earth, The Omega Man, I Am Legend and I Am Omega). A post-apocalyptic tale of loneliness, vampires and a famous ending that none of the spin-offs managed. Join us as we dissect this great novel. Set in the near future the book is a novel that Doctorow also uses to put forwards some of his ideas about the future of technology and sharing of culture. Our next book club selection, to be discussed around the start of November is 'I Am Legend' by Richard Matheson. Inspiring three movies and a faithful comic this is truly a classic of science-fiction literature. |
