In the final episode of 2008 Scott and Steve conclude their review of the year by talking about their favourite TV shows and movies - and what a year it's been!

After recapping some of their favourite highlights (and lowlights) they go on to talk about some of the exciting things coming our way next year - and it looks like 2009 is going to be another epic 12 months in genre entertainment.

Then we focus on a lookback over the last twelve months and look at some of our favourite comic reads from 2008. These are not comics that have necessarily come out this year, but comics we have read in the last 12 months.

We both come up with a top 5 and some honourable mentions.

Main Feature:  We discuss H. P. Lovecraft, creator of the Cthulhu mythos and an author whose impact is felt even today

Challenge Scott:  Here Steve pitches 3 comics to me to see what I think.  Will I end up getting any of them?  The comics mentioned are 'The Roberts', the 'Northlanders' trade and 'Rex Mundi'

Next we discuss our hidden gem which for this week is 'Miller's Crossing'.  Rated by Time magazine as one of the 100 best films of all time.  Steve is a recent convert to it's greatness and Scott only saw it for the first time the night before recording - so what will the make of it?
